The regulations clarify the responsibilities of the Management Committee and Executive Committee and emphasize the Zone's communication and collaboration with Macao on talent recruitment, arbitration, public service and other aspects.

Hengqin’s cooperation zone between Macau and the Chinese province of Guangdong saw the very first deal on a guarantee by a Zhuhai company of a loan from a Macau bank, the guarantee company said.
On the afternoon of January 28 after the conclusion of the provincial high-quality development conference, Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin held a meeting to make plans for its high-quality growth. Top leaders in Hengqin attended the meeting.
"The use of Hengqin's proprietary core technologies to promote the development of the manufacturing industry will benefit both the diversified growth of Macao's industries and Macao's integration into the overall national development," said Lei Zhen, a member of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) as well as CEO of Zhuhai Nanometals Technology, when talking to GDToday during the 2023 Two Sessions of Guangdong.
