The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and Singapore's Energy Market Authority signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday to continue and strengthen cooperation between Hong Kong and Singapore on energy-related matters.

The renewal continues the first MoU both sides signed in 2020 to strengthen their energy-related collaboration.

Under the renewed MoU, both sides will deepen cooperation in three key areas: electricity and gas systems and markets; renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation, district cooling, AI, digital grids and low-carbon technologies; and promotion of collaboration in multilateral forums.
