China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently released a seven-part national standard series on Artificial Intelligence Agent Interconnection, marking the country's first national standards framework covering the entire life cycle of AI agent collaboration, serving as a common interoperability framework for AI agents across the industry, effectively breaking down information barriers between agents of different brands and across diverse scenarios.

For the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the rollout of the new standards comes at a pivotal time. The GBA is currently accelerating the deployment of scenario-based practical training for humanoid robots and the intelligent transformation of its industries. However, collaboration among robots from different brands and data interoperability across multiple systems have long remained major bottlenecks to large-scale industrial adoption. The introduction of unified interoperability standards is expected to accelerate the transition of embodied AI from stand-alone demonstrations to multi-robot collaborative operations, providing standardized support for the next stage of intelligent manufacturing upgrading in the GBA.
