Cross - border training! Why Singapore's plus-size mermaids choose Zhongshan?

In many people's eyes, a "mermaid" is often associated with a slim, flawless figure.

But Wu Shiyan from Singapore is breaking that stereotype- at 93 kilograms, she proudly embraces her identity as a plus-size mermaid.

From March 25 to 29, Wu traveled to Zhongshan, Guangdong to train at a professional diving center, preparing for an upcoming mermaid competition. What draws her back is Zhongshan's rare 5-meter-deep pool—something hard to find in Singapore—along with its professional training facilities and an open, inclusive atmosphere.

"I came last year. I'm here again this year, and I'll definitely be back next year."
