According to the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the city's AI hardware manufacturing sector now includes more than 330 industrial enterprises above the designated size. The sector generated nearly 400 billion yuan in output last year, reflecting a 13.2% increase. In the first three quarters of this year, output reached 324.083 billion yuan, establishing an initial industrial chain that encompasses upstream new materials, midstream components, and downstream smart terminals.

Huizhou is focused on enhancing the competitiveness of its AI industry. In the first three quarters, the city produced 3.3996 million service robots, accounting for 29.7% of the provincial total. In intelligent terminals, output included 24.4 million smart TVs (28.8% of the province), 93.07 million smartphones, including OEM production (19.7%), and 40.62 million smart speakers (40.1%).
Huizhou plans to strengthen its AI industrial chain, improve infrastructure and resource allocation, and collaborate with Shenzhen and Dongguan to develop an AI and robotics belt along the eastern Pearl River Estuary. The city aims for output values of 400 billion yuan in intelligent terminals, 45 billion yuan in AI core components, and 15 billion yuan in high-end electronic materials by 2027.
