Located in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, Jinli Town is known for its strong industrial base, particularly in hardware manufacturing, earning its reputation as "the hometown of small hardware."
Currently, Jinli Town boasts 7,609 registered hardware enterprises and individual businesses (103 of which are large-scale enterprises and 127 are high-tech enterprises). In 2023, the hardware industry's output value in the town reached 30.918 billion yuan.
As one of the local industry leaders that emerged from humble beginnings as a small factory, Kedao is now a manufacturing-oriented high-tech company that integrates research and development, production, and sales.

In 2018, the company introduced automated robotic production lines to achieve intelligent manufacturing, optimizing and innovating traditional processes. It was also the first to do so within the industry.

The deputy general manager of Kedao, Huang Zhanhao, shared that "we are also aware of the importance of branding, as we have noticed that the hardware industry here was long absent in the mid-to-high-end brand market. That's why we established our own brand, "KeDao," in 2002 and decided to go abroad to become a world-renowned brand."
Huang claimed that the success lies in continuous research and development innovation. Last year, KeDao invested 6.4 million yuan in R&D, accounting for 5.3% of its main revenue, mainly used for researching product materials, R&D personnel salaries, and product patent fees.
In recent years, an increasing number of enterprises at the town have started seeking new approaches for high-quality development by embracing digital and smart technology and equipment. The integration of companies into industrial parks and standardization of operations have significantly boosted sales. In the first quarter of 2024, the output value of Jinli's hardware industry reached 8.498 billion yuan.
