The 135th China Import and Export Fair ("Canton Fair") is held in three phases from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou. To bring exhibitors and buyers from different countries and regions into immediate contact with Guangdong folk culture, Canton Fair arranged a Yingge Dance performance on the opening day. The performance attracted the attention of global exhibitors and buyers, and many of them couldn't help but take out their phones to record.

At 9:00 am on the 15th, Canton Fair Convention Center in Pazhou was bustling and crowded with exhibitors and buyers lining up outside to gain entrance to this global trade event. In order to get a head start on her target products, Hong Kong buyer Rebecca Tam arrived early in the morning. "Our company is a big fan of Canton Fair. We have been sending colleagues to Guangzhou for several years. Every time we come, we see a lot of new products, new ideas, and new designs, and we always gain a lot. This time, we are going to look at products such as air conditioners. The 'new three-major-items,' namely EVs, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic products, are also categories I am interested in,"said Tam.

The fair has also made every effort to provide a better payment experience for exhibitors and buyers. Many currency exchange machines and POS terminals were added to the exhibition halls to guarantee smooth payment for global buyers who want to use cash, foreign currency credit cards, or mobile payments.

Jastej, a buyer from India who exchanged US dollars for RMB in just three minutes, told GDToday that he had never experienced such a fast and barrier-free "silky-smooth payment" elsewhere but in China. "China is already ahead of most countries in the world in terms of payment. There are credit cards, cash, and mobile payment, which is convenient for those of us who trade a lot here. It's really great that we can have this kind of convenience at Canton Fair."
