Guangdong’s first temperature-controlled cold chain warehousing and trading park opens

On April 8, the temperature-controlled cold chain warehousing and trading park of the Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre started operation. 

The park is the province's first trading park to offer all temperature zone cold chain, including ultra-low temp deep freeze storage. It also provides one-stop comprehensive cold chain logistics services, meeting companies' diverse demands for trading, processing, warehousing, and shipping.

Located in Huadu District of Guangzhou, Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre is well-connected by road, rail, sea, and air transport and covers a site area of approximately 208,000 square meters.

According to a five-year plan for the high-quality development of the cold chain logistics, Guangdong will build a cold-chain logistics system that suits its industrial structure and the needs of economic and social development by 2025.

The operation of the park marks a milestone in that effort since Guangzhou is a major port hub and wholesale center for imported frozen food.

Huang Zhenghong, executive director of the Hong Kong-based Yuhu Group, said that high-standard cold storage warehouses have been built in the trading centre equipped with a cutting-edge temperature control system and intelligent management facilities to ensure the quality and safety of the frozen food throughout the whole supply chain.

Furthermore, the park also established an underground operation system, with a total area of about 90,000 square meters, guaranteeing the freshness of imported food to the greatest extent.

In the future, high-quality fresh food from overseas, including steak from Australia, sweet shrimps from New Zealand, and deep-sea salmon from Norway, will get to people's dining tables more rapidly through the park.

Huadu district is known as the gateway of Guangdong Province in the heart of domestic and international transport networks. Yuhu Cold Chain is the supply chain service enterprise under the Yuhu Group, a Hong Kong-based multinational investment group founded in 2000.
