Shenzhen Futian delegation heads to Europe signing multiple major projects including Oxford International Biomedical Empowerment Center

Promotion event scene

From February 28th to 29th, the Economic and Trade Exchange Delegation of Futian District, Shenzhen, hosted the "2024 Shenzhen·Futian (London) Investment Environment Promotion Conference" in London, UK. During their visit, the delegation met with the Mayor of the City of London, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), and other institutions. With this, Futian District successfully concluded its economic and trade exchanges in Europe for the Chinese New Year.

In ten days, the Futian delegation has visited Milan, Rome, Paris, and London, engaging with 23 government agencies, enterprises, and associations. They conducted two industry promotion meetings, signed four strategic cooperation agreements, and reached cooperation intentions on 14 projects. In total, they introduced Shenzhen Futian to 389 companies and brand institutions.

City of London

During the "2024 Shenzhen·Futian (London) Investment Environment Promotion Conference" on February 29th, Graham Russell, academician from the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences, and the "Father of Diphosphine Salt," delivered a speech. The "Oxford International Biomedical Empowerment Center (OIBEC)" project was signed on site, which plans to carry out more than five biomedical projects in the Hetao region, with a market scale exceeding one trillion.

During the two days in London, the delegation also visited the Mayor's office in the City of London and the China-Britain Business Council, achieving practical results in areas such as finance and technological exchange.

The City of London is the financial center of the UK and an acknowledged international financial hub. The Futian delegation specifically visited Vincent Thomas Keaveny, the 693rd Mayor of the City of London, to discuss establishing a cooperation mechanism for financial technology innovation. Both parties will jointly establish cooperation mechanisms in areas such as technology finance, green finance, and sustainable finance. The delegation was also invited to attend international events such as "London Fintech Week" and the "Fintech Global Summit," promoting exchanges between financial technology enterprises and talent from the two cities.

Discussion scene

The delegation also held discussions with Lise Bertelsen, the CEO of CBBC. They signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen two-way enterprise investment exchanges, promote the establishment of an innovation center by CBBC in Shenzhen, and jointly advance financial fund collaboration, providing a platform for collaboration and exchanges between companies from both countries.
