Guide to transportation at Guangzhou South Railway Station during Chunyun

The peak of passenger transport for the 2024 Chunyun, also known as the travel rush during Chinese New Year, has arrived. To ensure the smooth handling of passenger transport at Guangzhou South Railway Station during Chunyun and to meet the travel needs of the public, the Panyu Branch of Guangzhou Bus Group has developed a special public transportation support plan. This plan includes measures such as adjusting departure times, increasing the frequency of bus services, adding more transport capacity, and providing passengers with guidance services for boarding.

Bus routes towards downtown Guangzhou

Passengers traveling between the Guangzhou city area and the Guangzhou South Railway Station can take one of the five bus routes: 288A, 301A, 303A, Guangzhou 309A, and 312.

During Chunyun, the departure times of the existing four daily bus routes between the city center and Guangzhou South Railway Station will be advanced to meet the needs of citizens traveling from the city center to Guangzhou South Railway Station in order to catch early morning high-speed trains.

Among them, routes 288A, 301A, and Guangzhou 309A will start at 6:00 AM, while route 303A will start at 7:00 AM.

Night bus route support

To meet the nighttime travel needs of citizens, the Panyu District will organize night bus routes from Guangzhou South Railway Station to destinations such as Guangzhou Railway Station, the Sports Center, and Chebei, depending on passenger flow.

Volunteer services support safe travel for passengers

In Panyu District, management personnel are scheduled for on-site duty rotation every day to monitor passenger flow in real-time and make timely adjustments to departure frequency.

In addition, starting from February 14th (the fifth day of the first lunar month), 17 volunteer stations will be added at locations including the hall, as well as the west square entrances and exits of Guangzhou South Railway Station, and bus terminal entrances and exits during the overnight overtime shifts of the trains, to provide arriving passengers with volunteer services such as route information guidance, luggage handling, and assistance for priority groups.
