Second Session of the 13th CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee to be held from January 22 to 24

The second meeting of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is scheduled to be held in Guangzhou from January 22 to 24, 2024. On January 16, the preparatory office held a press conference to brief on the main arrangements for the conference and related matters.

The conference will last for three days. Members and attendees will register on January 21, while the opening ceremony will take place on the morning of January 22, and the closing ceremony will be held on the afternoon of January 24. The conference will include one plenary session, three group discussions, and two joint discussions among members of different sectors. Additionally, two meetings of chairmen, two standing committee meetings, and a special symposium for overseas Chinese will be arranged. Two interviews for the members will also be held before the opening ceremony on the morning of January 22 and before the closing ceremony on the afternoon of January 24, respectively.

Leaders from the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and the Provincial Government will attend the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as participate in group discussions. The main leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government will also attend the joint discussions among members, actively engage in face-to-face exchanges with the members, and listen to their opinions and suggestions. Moreover, they will also meet with the overseas Chinese attending the meeting.
