Recently, Hengqin Hospital was officially handed over to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (FAHGMU) and changed its name to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University Hengqin Hospital.
After being taken over by the FAHGMU, Hengqin Hospital will focus on introducing expert teams of national key clinical specialties, such as pneumology and traditional Chinese medicine , while ensuring the operation of the original clinical departments.
Located at No. 118 Baoxing Road in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, the hospital covers an area of 60,000 square meters and has a total construction area of approximately 191,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 2.72 billion RMB (approximately 379 million US dollars). It is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025.
