Qingmao Checkpoint in Zhuhai witnesses passenger flow peak in 2023

The Qingmao Checkpoint in Zhuhai saw a throughput of over 28.33 million inbound and outbound travelers in 2023, an increase of 130 percent compared with 2022, hitting a record high in annual entry-exit passenger volume since its establishment.

The checkpoint recorded the highest daily passenger flow for more than 10 consecutive times in 2023, among which the daily passenger flow exceeded 135,000 on December 31, reaching the annual peak.

Since the full resumption of customs clearance in February last year, traveling between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong and Macao has become more popular, enabling Qingmao Checkpoint to gradually serve as an important channel for cross-border commuters, students, business people and tourists.
