"I am in the trading business and currently starting a business in Hengqin. I feel that Hengqin's development is very promising, and the customs clearance process is quick. The company is developing well, and we are currently planning to expand the company's scale," said He Yulian, the general manager of a trading company in Zhuhai, while driving back to the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) on December 26.

On September 26, this year, the one-stop joint services lanes of Hengqin Port Phase II opened for trial operation. Through cooperation and information sharing among five inspection departments from Guangdong and Macao SAR, the entry and exit vehicles can enjoy a streamlined inspection process for clearance. Hengqin Port has become the first comprehensive port in China to adopt such convenient clearance for both passengers and vehicles.

"Hengqin is very beautiful, and the customs clearance process is fast now. It's very suitable for bringing family here for camping during the weekend," said Mr. Li, a dentist from Macao SAR.

According to the Hengqin Frontier Inspection Station, the average time for customs clearance of vehicles at Hengqin Port is about 100 seconds. The efficient customs clearance has improved passengers' travel experience. More and more residents from Hong Kong and Macao SARs visit Hengqin by car, further increasing the number of vehicles passing through Hengqin Port.

The average daily traffic has remained stable at around 5,500 vehicles during the three-month trial period.
