On December 26, the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Operation Demonstration Center was launched at OH Bay in Bao'an District, Shenzhen of south China's Guangdong Province. This is the first UAM center for passenger-carrying autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) in the country.

Bao'an District plans to cooperate with EHang Holdings Limited on urban air mobility services, and will launch an aerial tourism experience product that integrates sightseeing, technological experience, popular science education, and public welfare promotion.

On the day of the launch, EH216-S, EHang's passenger-carrying pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, conducted a demo flight at the center. This aircraft has obtained the Standard Airworthiness Certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, making it the world's first aircraft of its kind to receive this certification.
