Guangdong and New Zealand enjoy a very close relationship in terms of economic and trade cooperation. The 2023 New Zealand China Products Expo was held in Auckland recently.

The two-day event, building upon last year's New Zealand-Guangdong Products Expo, was the first comprehensive national-level Expo held in New Zealand under the name of China and New Zealand.

Covering an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters, the Expo attracted more than 200 enterprises from China and New Zealand, including a number of companies from Guangdong Province.

For example, Guangzhou Dongfengling Health Industry Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Canton Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand (CCCNZ), and Guangzhou Eagle Coin Haibao Foods Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on-site with a New Zealand food company and placed an order for food worth over 150,000 USD.

According to Chen Xiaofeng, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee, the exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and New Zealand have been deepening.

He also expressed his hope to work together with New Zealand to promote innovative cooperation between enterprises in both places, enhance cooperation in various fields including food science, big health, and ecological protection, and improve the innovative capabilities of enterprises.
