With a total steel volume of 118,000 tons, Baiyun Station consists of a roof, petal-shaped columns, and steel columns and beams. The roof's steel structure weighs 8,100 tons, covering an area equivalent to 13 standard football fields (95,224 square meters).

The Station has integrated a smart construction platform with nine modules, realizing digital symmetrical management throughout the entire construction process. During the process, a total of 18 kinds of intelligent robots were used, making it a smart construction pilot project in Guangdong Province and the first intelligent construction project for railway stations.

Situated in the southern part of Baiyun District, it is a key passenger station in the "Five Main Lines and Four Auxiliary Lines" of the Guangzhou railway hub. With a total floor area of approximately 453,000 square meters, the station building covers 144,500 square meters and can accommodate 11 platforms and 24 tracks.

When opened to traffic, Baiyun Station will be connected with several railway lines, including the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway, and Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway. It will host a total of six subway lines (two in the near future and four in the years to come), establishing itself as one of the largest transit-oriented development (TOD) hubs in China and Asia.
