An exhibition entitled "Botticelli to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London" is underway at the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) from November 21. Featuring a total of 52 masterpieces created by foreign artists, the exhibition will be open to the public until April next year.

The exhibition in Hong Kong is the third one held in Asia, following the ones in the Shanghai Museum and the National Museum of Korea. HKPM is the first cultural institution to display the collections of the National Gallery, London, in Hong Kong.

On May 7, when the exhibition closed at the Shanghai Museum, the museum was opened for 24 hours for the first time in order to receive a continuous stream of visitors. The exhibition, which lasted for three months at that time, witnessed more than 400,000 visitors in Shanghai.

This time in Hong Kong, GDToday and Nanfang Plus reporters invited the directors of the two museums, namely Gabriele Finaldi and Louis Ng, to hold a dialogue based on the exhibition. What will sparkle between Hong Kong's youngest museum and the time-honored National Gallery through this exhibition? Let's take a look!
