Special market promotes trade between Hengqin and Macao

Twenty-six SMEs from Macao and Hengqin gathered to exhibit and sell products from Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao, attracting nearly 35,000 visitors.

The event arranged 65 business matchmaking sessions for buyer groups from supermarkets, import and export trade, food and beverage and alcohol distribution. The live-streaming commerce sessions and their replays had a total of nearly 20,000 viewers. This helped exhibitors further expand their markets in the mainland. 

The event also staged Portuguese songs and dances, magic shows, mini games and art workshops to present the charm of Chinese and Portuguese culture crossover.

In the future, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macau In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin will jointly promote economic and trade cooperation between China’s mainland, Portuguese-speaking countries, and Macao, facilitate the joint development of Macao-Hengqin trade and commerce, and help companies explore more business opportunities.
