This November marks the 32nd Wildlife Conservation Awareness Month in Guangdong. The province will hold various online and offline activities to advocate for everyone to protect wild animals together this month.

Guangdong is one of the provinces with the richest biodiversity in China. According to the latest statistics, there are 1,052 species of terrestrial vertebrate wild animals and 6,658 species of embryophyte in Guangdong.

Guangdong made a lot of efforts to protect the habitats of wild animals. Artificial breeding, wild re-training, and reintroduction of rare animals such as South China tigers, pangolins, and alligator lizards are also being carried out.

Wildlife Conservation Awareness Month is one of the most important measures to protect wildlife. In November, Guangdong will organize joint enforcement actions to crack down on illegal hunting, gathering, artificial breeding, selling, buying, and eating wild animals and plants. The province will also strengthen inspections in nature reserves, forest farms, animal habitats, and other places to prevent illegal hunting of migratory birds.
