After graduating from university in the UK, Wu Guojin held an annual salary of close to 2 million yuan in Hong Kong financial institutions. At the age of 24, he resigned resolutely and came to Guangzhou to start a business.

In 2014, when Wu Guojin listened to a lecture on blockchain while traveling in Silicon Valley, he exclaimed that it was perfect economics. So, he determined to resign and established UNI in Huangpu District, Guangzhou.

Today, UNI has more than 50 employees. The company's business has expanded from Guangzhou to Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Singapore, with a net profit of more than 5 million yuan a year. But Wu Guojin was still dissatisfied with himself. "It's not a matter of money, but I hope UNI can become a leader in the blockchain industry."

"My family was not optimistic about me coming to the Mainland to develop. They asked me why I can't stay in Hong Kong?" Wu Guojin said. The cost of starting a business in Hong Kong is very high. It costs tens of millions to open a restaurant. Entrepreneurship is not something ordinary people dare to think of. "But I think young people should try things that others haven't done."

Wu Guojin suggested that Hong Kong residents go to the mainland more and feel the changes for themselves. "Now the mainland is very different from before. If you are worried that you are not comfortable, you can go to Shenzhen, where many people can speak Cantonese. He believes that entrepreneurs can gather in the Greater Bay Area to find a path for future development together.
