Intercity trains bound for Dongguan and Shenzhen suspended

According to Guangzhou Railway Group, due to the epidemic prevention and control, Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen intercity railway will stop selling tickets at all stations from March 15 to 20. The passenger service will be resumed at a time to be advised depending on the pandemic prevention and control measures of local governments.

In addition, a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test result within 24 hours is needed to leave Dongguan and Shenzhen.

The Guangzhou Railyway Group also stated that starting from March 15, Guangzhou Railway stations will cut the shift of scheduled trains to further reduce passenger flows in public place.

At present, there are only two intercity trains departing from Guangzhou to Shenzhen every day, that is, C7037 (10:11 am) and C7103 (15:11 pm).

According to the latest railway policy, passengers can apply for a refund at the ticket office or online ticket-booking platforms like 12306.com.

No cancellation fees will be charged for those who bought a ticket before the midnight of March 15, the railway departments said.
