2022 Guangdong Legislative Session to be held from January 20 to 23

The fifth plenary session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress is to be held from January 20 to January 23, according to a press conference held on Thursday.

Huang Xuequn, the spokesman of the 2022 Guangdong Legislative Session and the L1 inspector of the standing committee of Guangdong's Provincial People’s Congress stated that the panel will deliberate the annual work reports of the standing committee of Guangdong's Provincial People’s Congress, the Guangdong government, People’s court of Guangdong, People's procuratorate of Guangdong and have some other items on the agenda.

According to Huang, all representatives and staff will enter a closed-loop management system for epidemic prevention and control during the legislative session. They are required to report personal health conditions and take relevant tests.

The session will hold a "representatives’ channel" on the afternoon of January 21 to interview the representatives on topics including technology innovation, rural revitalization, high-quality cultural development and others.
