Shenzhen firms to debut at World Internet Conference

A delegation of 14 Shenzhen enterprises will debut at the 2021 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, which is scheduled to take place from Sept. 26 to 28 in Wuzhen, East China’s Zhejiang Province, the SME Center for International Innovation and Communication (Shenzhen) said Saturday.

The delegation, composed of 14 innovation-oriented enterprises, will showcase their technological prowess at the Light of Internet Expo 2021. The expo is an important part of the three-day event and will kick off one day before the summit.

This marked the first time that the expo has been included in Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau’s exhibition funding plan, according to the SME Center for International Innovation and Communication (Shenzhen), the delegation’s organizer.

The center said that the delegation’s participation in the expo will certainly play a positive role in the development of the city’s internet industry and the digital transformation of its enterprises, with participants conducting exchanges and seeking common development with peers on the same platform.

The expo will be attended by over 300 Chinese and international companies and will highlight the latest cutting-edge advances in cyberspace, launch new technologies and products in AI, cloud computing, big data, blockchain and cybersecurity, and unveil digital reform applications in economics, society and governance.

The expo’s organizers have arranged a relatively independent exhibition area for the Shenzhen delegation to put a spotlight on the city’s overall internet industry image and its remarkable digital economy development.

The expo’s organizing committee will also hold a special product launch for the city’s delegation, in which five companies, including Kingdee, will release their latest products and technological achievements.

Themed “Towards a New Era of Digital Civilization — Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,” the summit will be held both online and offline this year.

Nearly 2,000 representatives from governments, international organizations, industry associations, leading global enterprises, universities and research institutes from over 80 countries and regions, will attend the event in person or virtually.

The three-day event will feature 20 subforums, a global internet competition, an internet expo and a ceremony to announce this year’s leading internet technological achievements.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) is held annually in the town of Wuzhen in Zhejiang. Co-hosted by the Cyberspace Administration of China and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, the first WIC was launched in 2014.
