H.E. Rahma Abdulrahman Alshamsi thinks that Canton Fair is the largest comprehensive international trade event of its kind. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Canton Fair has been staged online since its 127th event in order to guarantee the safe and smooth operation of the international industrial and supply chains and to stabilize foreign trade and investment.

The upcoming 130th Canton Fair, which will open in an online and offline merged format this year, "demonstrates the great importance China attaches to the participation of foreign business communities."

"We are excited because we need to see these products, and we can attend in person, since we are here, we have thousands of members who are here, who buy all year round and who can actually attend, feel, touch and see the products available this year."

Seyedin also believes that Canton Fair serves as an important tool for the China-U.S. trade since it allows business people from these two countries to work together and support each other in terms of technology, products and services that help people lead a better life and overcome the current crises people face.

Speaking of the influence that COVID-19 has on the Fair, Seyedin pointed out that "Chinese government has done an excellent job in actually keeping COVID-19 at bay." The country has taken precautions and safety measures across the board with testing services available twenty-four hours a day. Therefore, he believes that there will be a very successful and safe Canton Fair.
